Homespun Dolls Welcome
Hello Welcome to HomespunDolls blog page. I am a self taught doll artist who creates fantasy art dolls. All of my little ones live and work in a little piece of my backyard called Elftown. During their creation they all have their own personal story that is told just for them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do making them.

Pumpkin Boy
I sculpted pumpkin boys head out of polymer clay over a walnut covered with masking tape. His arms and legs were something new for me, I used epoxy putty. I wanted them to look gnarled and viney but be strong enough to withstand shipping. I got what I was looking for and it was easier to do then I thought it would be. I used regular hardware store putty (loctite) which sets up very quickly. Its not something you can get that smooth seamless look with but it is perfect for a fustic rough look. It also took the paint rather well.
