Homespun Dolls Welcome
Hello Welcome to HomespunDolls blog page. I am a self taught doll artist who creates fantasy art dolls. All of my little ones live and work in a little piece of my backyard called Elftown. During their creation they all have their own personal story that is told just for them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do making them.

Wood Sprite
I have been working on this little guy for the past few days. I had to wait until I got my mulberry paper in to put clothes on him. He is 6 inches high, 8 counting the base. He is sculpted from polymer clay, has mulberry paper clothing and wings, needle felted hoody vest ( I call it mouse fur) I used dried pods, nuts, gourds, a vintage wooden mushroom and moss and sticks on his base. Gold glitter just to accent here and there. Hope you enjoy looking at him, I enjoyed making him.

Snow day equals get things done day
Last night we had about an inch of snow here in north east Arkansas. An inch is enough to shut down schools and business here. So since everyone cancelled their hair appointments do to this blizzard I was able to finish some dolls I had been working on.
The angel has a needle felted head and a cotton body weighted so she can stand, her arms are paper clay. She has real feather wings that I gave a aged look to and rhinestones in her hair. She is 7 1/2 inches high and in my Etsy store.
The bunny is needle felted from wool over a foam base. He has a needle felted egg and is sitting in a bed of felt grass. He is 5 1/2 inches tall and wide.
The Valentine doll has a spun cotton head and pipe cleaner arms, her dress and head scarf are made from felt with lace heart trim, I painted her face myself. She is 7 inches high and has a ribbon attached. her and the bunny are both in my Etsy store.
