Last night was the first Open House for the Gallery on the Square here in Pocahontas. It was also the first really cold windy day for us here. Jean the owner of the Gallery and a wonderful artist friend and I were concerned with the bitter cold that no-one would show. Boy were we wrong, people started coming at 5:30 and we didnt even have the punch bowl filled. They continued to stream in until past closing time. It was a packed house at times and we were give out by the end. It was so worth it though. We met lots of really nice people from right here in town and elsewhere. Some of the paintings found new homes and one of my little dolls, Mosely the Tree Sprout did too.
I completed Holly and Berry late Wed. night just in time for the show. A lovely lady had requested a Woodland Chrismtas boy and girl to display during the upcoming holdiday. Holly and Berry are the little elves who go out into the deepest parts of the forest to fetch the best presents they can find for their family. Holly enjoys wrapping the nuts and berries they find while Berry delivers the gifts.
Stopping by to say hi! Congrats on the show and sale too :D
